Hala Bugaighis is a senior Libyan consultant and researcher with more than 18 years of extensive experience in Libya, in which 13 years focused on the Libyan corporate and investment law.

In 2006, Hala joined the legal/commercial department in OMV of Libya. In 2011, she started her own consulting company and led the corporate law department, where she advised private banks, international investors and private clients inside and outside Libya.Hala co-founded Jusoor Center for Studies and Development in 2015, a pioneer Libyan think and do tank working on economic development and advocating for women economic inclusion in 2015, and she founded Libya first women business incubator “”LEAP””.

Hala currently works as an advisor to many donors and INGOs. She frequently speaks at local and international events on issues related to economic development and gender. She is also a member of the Libyan Economic Dialogue coordinated by UNSMIL.
